Taming the Public Speaking Monster
Have you ever had an epic public speaking fail? 💣I can relate.
One evening years ago, I was stunned by a demand that I – not my boss – present to 100-plus people the following day. I hadn’t prepared and wasn’t qualified to speak to all the presentation topics. Not surprisingly, an overpowering fear set in, and the presentation was truly awful. The experience ranks as my biggest professional regret.
Early in my career, I hadn’t considered the importance of building my speaking skills and personal presence. For most of us, preparation and practice are essential. So, if you have a similar fear and to help you avoid the same fate, I recommend the following books:

Public Speaking for Authors, Creatives and Other Introverts by Joanna Penn
How Your Story Sets You Free by Heather Box and Julian Mocine-McQueen
You Got This: Everything You Need to Master Authentic Public Speaking by Lisa Kleiman
The Art of Public Speaking by Dale Carnegie
